 Can you please confirm how much each magazine costs to ship from the US to Portugal? I read in your website that it costs $1 + $3.80, is this correct?
Postage for magazine forwarding to Portugal (and any other country as well) differs from magazine title to title and is based on net weight of each magazine. $1 mentioned on our website is processing fee for each magazine that covers receiving, storage, customer support, envelope, customs declaration and dispatch.
Weekly magazines are usually about 0.2 lbs and postage is $2.44 - $3.18, monthly magazines can weigh between 0.4 and 1 lbs, that equals postage $4-$11.
Fashion magazines are recently quite heavy as the economy is good and there is lots of advertisements in it and single issue can weigh upto 4 lbs and that can make the shipping quite expensive.
You can also ship magazines in bulk, lots of people subscribes to multiple magazine titles and they are usually waiting with shipment untill the total weight of magazines in their Mailbox reaches 4 lbs and ship all of them in Flat Rate envelope for $26.50.
And there is another option for people using our services for their shopping, they add magazines delivered to their Mailbox into their regular shipments shipping by DHL Express every once a while and then price of forwarding equals about $4/lb of weight.
Note: All prices are recent as of this date September 23, 2015 and can change in the future. | I did not understand the idea of having a magazine subscription sent first to an address in the US and then to pay again for shipment to me overseas. This makes a magazine subscription very expensive.

First, before we even proceed with the order I wanna make sure you understand principle of this service because People magazine is weekly and for international subscription it can become quite costly.
$116.07 is a price for one year subscription of People Magazine to your Mailbox here in South San Francisco, California, this is the amount for domestic subscription charged by publisher, we don't charge any fees to process subscription with publisher.
Subscribed magazines are delivered to South San Francisco, upon arrival of each issue you will get email with information with magazine title and its actual weight. The weight is the most crucial element, last issue of People magazine weighed 0.8 lbs.
Now, if you want to forward individual magazines, it's the most expensive option, actual postage would be $5.05 for an envelope with single magazine with weight of 0.8 lbs plus $1 fee for forwarding. Around Christmas magazines will become even more heavy. And while we are talking about 53 issues in a year, it can be quite expensive experiment.
Economical option is sending in bulk, we can stack up whole month of magazines (4-5 issues) into one flat-rate envelope (upto 4 lbs of weight) with flat postage Worldwide $13.90 plus $1 fee per issue, meaning $17.90-18.90 total for forwarding per month, compared to $25-30 for forwarding of individual issues. Another advantage with bulk shipping is Priority Mail postage (about 7 days to deliver) and hard cardboard envelope included in the price.
